This Summer Will Be Different has added to its cast. Malin Akerman, Megan Follows, Nadine Bhabha, and Matias Lucas have joined the Netflix drama.
The series from Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart is inspired by the Carley Fortune novel of the same name. Netflix shared the following about the plot of the series and the roles the new additions to the cast will play:
“Today Netflix announced Malin Akerman (The Hunting Wives, Billions) as “Aunt Stacy”, Megan Follows (Buried in Barstow) as “Cheryl”, Nadine Bhabha (Heated Rivalry, Slo Pitch) as “Farah”, and Matias Lucas (The Order) as “Carter” in Netflix’s adaptation of Canadian author Carley Fortune’s bestselling contemporary romance novel This Summer Will Be Different.
This Summer Will Be Different, based on the beloved novel by Carley Fortune, is a simmering, sun-soaked romance set across multiple summers on Prince Edward Island about Lucy, a young woman navigating her 20s and her first real love with her best friend’s brother, the one person she was never supposed to fall for.”
Netflix will announce the premiere date later.
