Behind the Scenes

NBC ordered six additional episodes in November 2005 but two weeks later reversed its decision and cancelled Three Wishes due to network cost concerns. The series usually ranked in second or third place in its Friday 9pm timeslot.
Though the wish fulfillment appeared spontaneous, casting was held in advance to determine a location’s suitability for filming.
Communities visited include: Sonora, CA; Clovis, NM; Brookings, SD; Le Mars, Iowa; Covington, GA; Brook Park, OH; Dover/New Philadelphia, OH; and Cedar City, UT.
