The Wrap reports Julia Roberts will star in the Today Will Be Different TV show adaptation of Maria Semple’s novel. While this is her first TV series, Roberts will also produce through Red Om Films.
Semple will write the Today Will Be Different script and will executive produce alongside Annapurna’s Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle. No network has signed on, yet.

According to the report, Today Will Be Different is a limited series. It “will show a day in the life of Eleanor Flood, who had ambitions to wake up and have the best day of her life, but is forced to abandon those plays when she finds a strange, new future unfolding.”
