Chris Evans, who left the Top Gear TV series after one season, dedicated the July 5th broadcast of his BBC Radio 2 Weekday Breakfast Show to BBC Two‘s Top Gear TV program (which has just finished its 23rd season on BBC America) and encouraged his listeners to “move on.”
Matt LeBlanc, Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz, and automobile journalists Chris Harris and Rory Reid worked with Evans in season 23, as well as anonymous test-driver, the Stig.

Digital Spy reports:
Speaking on his Radio 2 breakfast show this morning, Evans said: “Today’s show is dedicated to all the Top Gear gang. And today’s show is entitled ‘Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On’.”
Evans also read out the front pages of the papers during his usual news review, which featured stories about him quitting the BBC motoring show.
“We’ve got to go there, it’s all true,” he said.

Having received decidedly mixed reviews for his first series in charge following Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May’s departure, Evans revealed on Twitter [July 4th] that it was time to quit.
According to the report, Evans originally had a three year contract to co-host Top Gear with Matt LeBlanc.
