Transylvania: 1800s Monster Drama Pilot Ordered by CW

The CW TV shows

The CW has ordered a TV show pilot for Transylvania. Set in the 1800s, this monster drama is written by Hugh Sterbakov, who executive produces with Jeff Pinker (of Fringe and the cancelled October Road TV series), Josh Appelbaum (Star-Crossed), Andre Nemec, and Scott Rosenberg, both of whom hail from the cancelled Happy Town, and from Zoo with Appelbaum.

Sterbakov was on the writing team for Seth Green and Matthew Senreich’s TV movie Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III, a Star Wars spoof, that grew out of the Robot Chicken TV series.

Deadline says:

Written/executive produced by Hugh Sterbakov (Hell And Back), Transylvania centers on a headstrong young woman in search of her missing father who ventures from NYC to Transylvania where she teams up with a wrongfully disgraced Scotland Yard Detective, and together they witness the births of the most famous monsters and villains in history.

What do you think? Do you like the sound of the Transylvania TV show? If the Transylvania TV series makes it to air, do you think you will check it out?
