TV show description:
A drama-thriller following Yale University graduate students Jay Burchell (Matthew Bomer) and Tyler Fog (Logan Marshall-Green) who become suspects in the bombing of New York’s Drexler Museum.
Their friend Will Traveler (Aaron Stanford) has set them up to look like the bombers before he disappears without a trace.
While on the run, the two uncover secrets and clues, including the fact that at least two organizations know of the conspiracy.
Episode eight – The Exchange
Jay and Tyler reunite with Will in an effort to take down the man behind the bombing. Meanwhile, Agent Marlow (Viola Davis) is abruptly taken off the Drexler bombing case.
Series creator David DiGilio made a point of interacting online with fans during the series’ run and promised to reveal what future episodes would have held if/when Traveler was cancelled.
Behind the Scenes
• | ABC initially ordered 13 episodes of the series but scaled it back to eight late in production. As a result, the writers had to quickly adjust the last episode script. |
• | Traveler was initially going to air earlier in the season but was pushed back a couple times by ABC. The network had little faith in it, likely because of the poor performance of most other serial dramas in the 2006-07 season. |
• | The series debuted to a disappointing 5.0 million viewers and dropped to a low of 3.7 million during its short run. |
