TV show description:
The story begins as fashionable teen True Jackson (Keke Palmer) is selling sandwiches with her friend Ryan (Matt Shively) in the fashion district of New York City. By chance, designer Max Madigan (Greg Proops) sees True and compliments her on her clothes.
Max then realizes that the clothes True is wearing are his own designs, but she’s altered them to suit her own tastes. Max loves the altered pieces and decides to hire the 15-year-old designer to be a Vice President of Youth Apparel for his company, Mad Style.
Delighted but scared out of her wits, True hires her energetic and unfocused friend, Louise “Lulu” Danfordton (Ashley Argota), to be her personal assistant.
With Ryan and Lulu’s help, True does her best to design freely while learning to navigate the corporate world and deal with real-world obstacles. Mad Style co-workers like the snotty VP of Women’s Fashions, Amanda Cantwell (Danielle Bisutti), are less than enthusiastic about working with an under-age teen.
Along the way, True begins to find her niche as a fashion maven. She also begins building new friendships and romantic interests with co-workers like sensible secretary Oscar R. Eception (Ron Butler) and cute mail-runner Jimmy Madigan (Robbie Amell).
Episodes 59 and 60 — Mystery in Peru
True and the rest of the Mad Style staff go to Peru to attend Amanda and Brock’s wedding. True wants to start her own fashion line, but can’t because she doesn’t have enough money.
While in Peru, True and her friends discover that there’s a contest with a $20,000 grand prize for whoever can find the Jewel of Peru which has been missing for a year. The gang sets out to recover the treasure.
Meanwhile, Mikey J. tells Lulu that he’s moving away for a year and gives her a key for a gift. Amanda hires Kelsey as her assistant for the wedding.
True finds the jewel but she and her friends end up trapped in a cage on top of a volcano. Lulu uses the key from Mikey to unlock the door and they return the jewel.
True advises Lulu to kiss Mikey to see if he really likes her. At the wedding, Max tells True that he is retiring to be a stay-at-home dad and promotes her to become the president of Mad Style. Amanda falls into the Fountain of Youth and turns into a girl.
As president, True changes things in the office and invites more teenagers to help run the company.
