TV show description:
Elijah Kane (Steven Seagal) leads an undercover Special Investigation Unit team of Seattle-based cops. Together, they target major crimes in the North Western territory, taking them down with their own unique brand of brutal street justice.

Although Kane is admirable in honor and worthy of praise for his moral principles, he has a past shrouded in mystery. Performing under intense pressure and composed in life-threatening situations, he demonstrates the expertise of a warrior, clearly ex-military; exercising his abilities gained in his work with Special Ops forces.

Kane and his team conquer any criminal activity that shows up on their radar, sending a message to the street gangs that they are not afraid to get their hands dirty using their no holds barred tactics.

Kane’s team follows him without question as they infiltrate the gang syndicates undercover. The SIU’s second in command is Andre Mason (William “Big Sleeps” Stewart) who’s always there to deal with the chaos that undercover cops call daily life. It’s Mason’s choice of profession that is slowly wearing down his wife and her hopes of being a normal family.

Radner (Warren Christie) is a loose cannon who, with the help of his team, somehow finds a way out of the trouble he repeatedly creates. For Radner it’s the salty sweet rookie, Sarah Montgomery (Sarah Lind) who really gets him going. There is a peculiar love connection between these two cops, one that is covered by a rough veneer that’s from years of working on the streets. Sarah knows she has a learn to learn when working with the only other female on the team, Juliet Saunders (Meghan Ory).

“Hard-as-nails” Juliet is the up and comer in the group and she knows it. A firecracker ready for the big fights and not afraid of the alpha male, Juliet is there for the action, ready for anything Seattle’s criminals can throw at her.

Regardless of his morality, Kane is short-fused and deals with these criminals in a classic form of law enforcement. Though she doesn’t always approve of his methods, Juliet admires Kane’s strong sense of justice and righteousness, especially when it comes to protecting those weaker than him. It’s the poor and the immigrant people who are constantly targets and victims of criminal activity. With Seattle having a large Japanese immigrant culture, Kane has a soft spot for them, having been raised in Japan as a child, he goes the extra mile for his ‘people’ to make sure they’re safe and taken care of.

Maintaining a degree of integrity, the SIU team does whatever it takes to bring those responsible in the spectrum of heinous crimes to justice. These young cops look up to Kane with reverence and admiration; one thing they’re all aware of is those close to Kane remain so at their own risk. The assailants targeting Kane are not above attacking them to get to him.
