There’s some family drama headed to FX. Variety reports the network has ordered a new series, Trust, about the notorious Getty family.
The first installment of the limited series will be directed by Danny Boyle.
Trust will focus on the life of John Paul Getty III, the heir of oil tycoon Jean Paul Getty. The series is being described as “equal parts family history, dynastic saga and satirical examination of the corrosive power of money.” It will begin in 1973, the year John Paul Getty III was kidnapped by the mafia.
Simon Beaufoy and Christian Colson will executive produce alongside Boyle.
