Twin Peaks: David Lynch Releases Teaser for Showtime Series Revival

Twin Peaks TV show on Showtime: season 1 (canceled or renewed?)

David Lynch has released a teaser for his Twin Peaks TV show revival coming to Showtime in 2017. Watch it, below. The video features Twin Peaks composer Angelo Badalamenti performing the original series’ haunting “Laura Palmer” theme.

Lynch and co-creator Mark Frost have written every episode of the new installment, and Lynch directed all of them. The Twin Peaks TV series revival’s cast of 217 players includes Kyle MacLachlan, Sherilyn Fenn, Sheryl Lee, and Laura Dern.

Lynch tweeted: “Dear Twitter Friends, my dear brother, the brilliant @DamnGoodPie, is back! #twinpeaks.”

Sometimes, Twitter embeds stop working, so we’ve embedded the YouTube video, just in case.

The caption on the YouTube video reads:

TWIN PEAKS features prolific composer Angelo Badalamenti and his Grammy® Award-winning theme music from the original series – one of the most distinctive ever created for television by David Lynch. Badalamenti will return as composer for the new series, which will premiere on SHOWTIME in 2017.
