Twin Peaks: Showtime to Run Original Series Over the Holidays

Twin Peaks TV show on Showtime: canceled or renewed?

Who killed Laura Palmer? If you don’t remember, or never knew, Showtime has your back. The premium cable network is running the complete first run  of David Lynch’s original Twin Peaks TV show. The mystery crime drama ran for two seasons, before ABC cancelled it in 1991. Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Ontkean, Mädchen Amick, Lara Flynn Boyle, and Sherilyn Fenn starred.

Beginning December 26, 2016, Twin Peaks, the original series, will be available on the Showtime Streaming Service, Showtime On Demand, and Showtime Anytime. The release comes in advance of the Showtime Twin Peaks TV series revival, which the cabler has slated for a 2017 premiere, date TBD.  Get the scoop from this Showtime press release.

NEW YORK – November 21, 2016 – SHOWTIME is offering viewers the opportunity to binge watch the groundbreaking original series TWIN PEAKS over the holidays, starting on December 26 on the SHOWTIME streaming service, SHOWTIME On Demand and SHOWTIME ANYTIME. Every episode of the original series will be made available to subscribers in advance of the new TWIN PEAKS premiere in 2017 on SHOWTIME. The network is also offering across its platforms the iconic noir film Blue Velvet, written and directed by David Lynch and starring Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper and Laura Dern.

Directed entirely by David Lynch, the new SHOWTIME series picks up twenty-five years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. TWIN PEAKS is written and executive produced by series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost, and is produced by Sabrina S. Sutherland.

SHOWTIME is currently available to subscribers via cable, DBS and telco providers, and as a stand-alone streaming service through Apple®, Roku®, Amazon and Google.
