Get your pie. Get your coffee. Twin Peaks has a premiere date. Today, Showtime announced the revival series will debut in May, Deadline reports.
A follow-up to David Lynch’s cult ABC drama, the reunion series will pick up 25 years later and see the return of original cast members Kyle MacLachlan, Sherilyn Fenn, Sheryl Lee, Miguel Ferrer, Kimmy Robertson, Harry Goaz, Dana Ashbrook, and James Marshall. New cast members include Laura Dern, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Amanda Seyfried.
At today’s TCA panel, Showtime president David Nevins revealed the Twin Peaks revival will debut on May 21st at 9 p.m. ET/PT with a two-hour premiere. Nevins also announced the new season will consist of 18 episodes.
Additionally, the Showtime chief admitted he has seen the new episodes and he described them as “the pure-heroin version of David Lynch.”
