Twin Peaks: Season Three Ratings

Twin Peaks TV show on Showtime: season 3 ratings (canceled or season 4?)

During its first season in 1990, Twin Peaks performed quite well for ABC. In season two, the series endured multiple timeslot changes and resolved the foundational mystery of who killed Laura Palmer partway through. Unsurprisingly, its ratings fell off and the network cancelled the mystery horror drama, which went on to spawn a feature film prequel, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. Now that Showtime has revived the soapy supernatural series, how will it fare? Will Twin Peaks be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned.

The Twin Peaks TV series revival kicks off 25 years after the murder of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) shocked the seemingly tranquil town of Twin Peaks, Washington. It centers on the return of idiosyncratic FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan). The large Showtime cast also includes: Mädchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook, Everett McGill, Kimmy Robertson, Russ Tamblyn, Ray Wise, Grace Zabriskie, Amy Shiels, Robert Forster, Phoebe Augustine, Chrysta Bell, Richard Beymer, Catherine E. Coulson, Jan D’Arcy, Laura Dern, David Duchovny, Sherilyn Fenn, Miguel Ferrer, Eddie Vedder, Naomi Watts, and Alicia Witt.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
