TV may be hitting the high seas soon. According to Deadline, the U.S. Coast Guard is partnering with production company Armada Partners for a series about the unique maritime branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
The series is early in development, without a writer or network attached yet. However, the concept for the show will be similar to many legal procedurals on the air that fictionalize real current and past events.
From U.S. Coast Guard Cmdr. Jeff Loftus:
As former head of the USCG’s MOPIC (Motion Picture & Television Office) division I’ve not seen a concept such as his come across my desk with as much excitement that is true to the Coast Guard’s Core Values. Armada shares my vision for this dynamic and realistic portrayal of the USCG and I’m very excited to be collaborating side by side with them and my colleagues at the USCG on this next endeavor.”
