Netflix has a new drama in store. Deadline reports the streaming service has ordered a new limited TV series called Unbelievable.
Based on the 2015 ProPublica article “An Unbelievable Story of Rape” by T. Christian Miller and Ken Armstrong, the drama “tells the true story of Marie, a teenager who was charged with lying about having been raped, and the two female detectives who followed a twisting path to arrive at the truth.”
Netflix has ordered eight episodes of Unbelievable, which will be written by Erin Brockovich screenwriter Susannah Grant, Michael Chabon, and Ayelet Waldman.
