Uncle Buck: Season One Ratings

Uncle Buck TV show on ABC: ratings (cancel or renew?)Back in 1990, CBS tried to make a TV show spin-off of the popular Uncle Buck movie. It was cancelled after one season. Now, ABC is trying their own. Will it be a success in the ratings? Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.

On Uncle Buck, Buck Russell (Mike Epps) is a fun-loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay. By happy coincidence, his brother Will (James Lesure) and sister-in-law Alexis (Nia Long) need his help. Their nanny has just quit and they need someone to take care of their children, Tia (Iman Benson), Miles (Sayeed Shahidi), and Maizy (Aalyrah Caldwell).

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

7/6 update: ABC has cancelled Uncle Buck after one season of eight episodes. Details here.
