Are Whitney and Alex back together? According to TVLine, Whitney Cummings will be joining her former Whitney co-star Chris D’Elia for an upcoming storyline on NBC’s Undateable.
On Whitney, D’Elia played Cummings’ boyfriend, Alex Miller, for two seasons on the NBC sitcom until it was cancelled in 2013.
On Undateable, D’Elia plays Danny Burton, a 30-something single guy who has trouble with commitment. The series premiered in 2014 and has since held fairly steady ratings with its all-live episodes in season three.
Cummings will play Charlotte, a female version of Danny, and will make her debut on this Friday’s episode, “A Bachelorette Party Walks Into A Bar.”
