Based on the fast affiliate numbers, the new TV series performed well. It won its timeslot with a 2.9 rating in the all-important 18-49 demographic with 13.98 million viewers. That was a 16% increase in the demo over last year’s timeslot occupant, The Good Wife (2.5).
Unforgettable did lose a fair amount of the the NCIS: Los Angeles lead-in audience but that’s to be expected. We’ll have a better idea of the new show’s chances for the future once we look at the retention (how many people started watching the episode vs how many people finished), how many people come back for the second episode, and how the rest of the CBS schedule performs.
Right now, despite mixed and negative reviews, Unforgettable looks like a solid player.
