It’s all in the family on Freeform. This week, the network announced production has begun on their upcoming TV show, Unrelated.
The comedy series (formerly known as Besties) “follows Becca (Jordin Sparks) and her newly discovered half-sister Jesi (Gigi Zumbado), as they’re thrown into each other’s lives by an online genetics test and have to figure out how to go from strangers to sisters.” The cast also includes Matt Shively, Jessika Van, and Davi Santos.
Freeform has not yet announced a premiere date for Unrelated, but you can read more info below:
Today, Freeform began production on its highly anticipated upcoming comedy series “Unrelated” (fka “Besties”), with actor and director Michael McDonald (“MADtv,” “Brooklyn Nine Nine”) set to direct the first episode.
Created by Ranada Shepard, Casey Johnson and David Windsor and executive produced by Kenya Barris, the series follows Becca (Jordin Sparks) and her newly discovered half-sister Jesi (Gigi Zumbado), as they’re thrown into each other’s lives by an online genetics test and have to figure out how to go from strangers to sisters.
The series stars Jordin Sparks, Gigi Zumbado, Matt Shively, Jessika Van and Davi Santos.
Shepard, Johnson and Windsor will executive produce along with Barris. “Unrelated” is produced by ABC Signature Studios.”
