We don’t have to wonder whether the Veep TV show will be cancelled or renewed for season eight. HBO confirmed that the series would end with season seven, way back in September of 2017. Since that time, production on the seventh and final season was delayed while star Julia Louis-Dreyfus sought treatment for breast cancer. Now she and the comedy have returned for a victory lap. Although this is the last installment, we’re still tracking the ratings, so stay tuned to see if Selina Meyer goes out on a high note.
An HBO political satire, Veep also stars: Anna Chlumsky, Tony Hale, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Matt Walsh, Sarah Sutherland, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, and Sam Richardson. In the seven-episode final season, former VP and President Selina Meyer (Louis-Dreyfus) is campaigning to return to the Oval Office. Recurring guest stars this year include Clea DuVall, Margaret Colin, Patton Oswalt, and Brian Huskey.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The sixth season of Veep on HBO averaged a 0.23 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 584,000 viewers.
