The show is still in the early planning stages so no names or possible storylines have been nailed down yet. At Television Critics Association winter press tour, CW President Mark Pedowitz said that he and Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas spoke about the project last night.
Pedowitz said, “He’s very excited to do something for CW Seed.” Thomas is also writing a Veronica Mars book series which will tie-in with the movie.
The spin-off isn’t expected to get going until after the Veronica Mars feature film is released on March 14th. “He told me about his schedule, and I said, ‘We’ll take it whenever you’re ready,'” said Pedowitz.
