Lifetime is closing the curtain on Vivica’s Black Magic. According to Variety, the network has cancelled the TV show after one season.
The reality series focused on Vivica A. Fox’s newest business venture, Black Magic, “an exotic male revue and ultimate ladies’ night experience featuring her magic men.”
Recently, the show’s executive producer Jean-Claude LaMarre filed a lawsuit against Fox for “libel, slander, and contract interference.” Apparently, the two have been at odds since Fox indicated the series was not indicated for gay men and LaMarre disagreed, saying “all are welcome.”
Later, the two went their separate ways and started “rival touring shows based on the TV series.” Whether it’s because of the behind-the-scenes drama or poor ratings, Lifetime has decided not to continue Vivica’s Black Magic for a second season.
