The Walking Dead: Robert Kirkman Teases Season Seven

The Walking Dead TV show on AMC

How much more dramatic can The Walking Dead get? Recently, creator Robert Kirkman spoke to Entertainment Weekly about season seven of the AMC series.

The new season will pick up right where season six left off, with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) about to off one of the main characters. The cast also includes Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lennie James, Chandler Riggs, and Melissa McBride.

In the interview, Kirkman said season seven is going to be “epic”:

I mean, the word is epic. The show is expanding. We’re introducing the Kingdom, we already have the Hilltop, we’re going to be exploring more of the Saviors and the Sanctuary that they live in and more of what goes on around Negan, what his average daily life is, which is extremely interesting.”

He also said the death of one of the main characters will have a major impact on the group:

It’ll introduce a new level of fear for these characters that hasn’t really been present since the first couple of seasons. That fear’s going to affect them all in different ways, but it will be pushing them apart in a lot of different ways as well, so there’s going to be a lot of division in the group and a lot of conflict.”

Season seven of The Walking Dead premieres on October 23rd.

What do you think? Do you watch the zombie drama? Who do you think Negan kills?
