Where is Wayward Pines? Recently, FOX chairman Gary Newman announced season three of the TV series will not air this summer, Deadline reports.
Based on the novels by Blake Crouch, the sci-fi thriller follows the residents of the mysterious town of Wayward Pines. The cast includes Djimon Hounsou, Nimrat Kaur, Josh Helman, Kacey Rohl, Tom Stevens, Hope Davis, Shannyn Sossamon, Carla Gugino, and Toby Jones.
At this week’s Television Critics Association press tour, Newman revealed Wayward Pines is not cancelled, but there will be no new season this summer on FOX:
Wayward is not canceled, but it will not be on this summer. Wayward didn’t come together quickly enough for us to have it this summer; there have been discussions about casting. We’re still talking about it. It’s possible you’ll see Wayward at some point back on Fox. But we are focusing a little bit more heavily on unscripted this summer.”
