Wayward Pines: Season Two Ratings

Wayward Pines TV show on FOX: ratings (cancel or renew for season 3?)Though FOX promoted Wayward Pines as a one season show, the series did well enough for them to want to bring it back for a second season. Executive producer M. Night Shyamalan now says that he wants the series to run for three seasons. As per usual, the show’s fate will largely depend on the ratings. Will it be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.

The second season of Wayward Pines picks up where the first season left off. The residents of the town must battle against the iron-fisted rule of the First Generation. Doctor Theo Yedlin (Jason Patric) is a new resident of the community. He awakens from suspended animation and finds himself in the middle of this rebellion. He tries to understand what Wayward Pines really is and while helping to preserve the endangered human race. The rest of the cast includes Djimon Hounsou, Nimrat Kaur, Josh Helman, Kacey Rohl, Tom Stevens, Hope Davis, Shannyn Sossamon, Carla Gugino, Toby Jones, Tim Griffin, Charlie Tahan, Melissa Leo, and Terrence Howard.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
