Carla Gugino and two other members of the cast from season one will return to the world of Wayward Pines for an appearance during season two. According to TV Line, Gugino shared a photo of herself on the set of the series. At the end of the season one, her character was cryogenically frozen by the First Generation brats.
Gugino captioned her Instagram by saying:
“Kate coming to life. 😏 @waywardpines #hairandmakeup #onlocation #Vancouver 💜.”
No details about her return have been revealed, but she will likely not appear in much of the series. She has signed on for a series regular role in Showtime’s Roadies.
In addition to Gugino, TV Line reported that fans will also see the return of Melissa Leo as Nurse Pam and Charlie Tahan as the son of Agent Burke. The news outlet reported that both characters will likely only be seen in limited capacity.
