TV show description:
This single-camera comedy follows four single guys who live in a short-term apartment complex. They unexpectedly find a kinship over their many missteps in love. Armed with a hot tub, pool-side barbecue and plenty of questionable advice, these losers in the marriage department try to help one another and impart their own brand of wisdom about the opposite sex.
Carter Thomas (Chris Smith) is the youngest of the four and the most recent addition to the group. He moved in after being ditched at the altar (mid-ceremony). After a short stay at the complex, he gets back with his ex. In the middle of the wedding, his new friends help him realize what he’s doing and and he stops the ceremony this time. Carter is now eager to re-enter the dating scene and get on with his life with some guidance from his new “band of brothers”
Gil Bartis (Kal Penn) is a small business owner who was caught having the world’s worst affair — in his own house and bed when his wife wasn’t supposed to be home. He’s hopeful for a reconciliation.
Stuart Weber (Jerry O’Connell) is a speedo-wearing OB/GYN who’s hiding his assets until his second divorce is settled. With a very healthy ego and libido, it’s tough for Stuart to keep anything hidden.
Frank Russo (Tony Shalhoub) is a successful middle-aged clothing manufacturer and four-time divorcée. He still fancies himself a ladies man and has no trouble attracting young women who want a piece of his wallet. Abby Russo (Rebecca Breeds) is Frank’s charming and attractive daughter. She’s the one positive remnant from his failed relationships.
Episode #4 — We Are Learning to Swim
When Frank decides to throw Abby a surprise party, he relies on Carter to keep her away from the Olympia. Meanwhile, Stuart tries to teach Gil how to swim in an attempt to impress Maisie.
