This comedy TV show began as a series of improvised web shorts.
Fiona Wallice (Lisa Kudrow) is a therapist who’s developed a new form of therapy that she can deliver online. She holds her sessions and connects with her clients via webcam over the Internet using Apple’s iChat.
To Fiona, the traditional hour version of therapy gives people too much leeway to talk about irrelevant things. By greatly shortening their session time, she believes that she can get to the root of her clients’ problems. The sessions are taped in the hope of attracting investors into promoting her new technique as a worldwide therapy option.
Kip Wallice (Victor Garber) is Fiona’s long-suffering husband and her attorney. Her mother, Putsy Hodge (Lily Tomlin) is a proper upper crust woman who’s having money troubles. She thinks Fiona’s Web Therapy is a waste of time and an embarrassment and has no problem letter her daughter know how she feels.
Other’s include Gina Spinks (Jennifer Elise Cox), the ditsy receptionist at Fiona’s former workplace, and Kamal Prakash (Maulik Pancholy), an IT worker from Kip’s office whom Fiona recruits to help her set up her computer system.

Kip’s political plans are dashed by Fiona’s scandal; Jerome’s involvement in Putsy’s schemes puts him on the run; Gina returns from rehab a completely new woman; and Jenny lobs a grenade into Fiona’s past that will upend things forever.
