The West Wing: Actress Now Works in Washington for Real

The West Wing TV show

From Washington D.C. to … Washington D.C. The Washington Post reports that The West Wing actress Melissa Fitzgerald now works in Washington for real.

Fitzgerald played Carol Fitzpatrick, assistant to Allison Janney’s C.J. Cregg, on the NBC political drama.

The article tells the story of how Fitzgerald relocated to Washington D.C. after working as an actress for nearly 20 years. Now, the former West Wing star is the senior director of Justice for Vets, a non-profit organization that helps how veterans are treated in the criminal justice system.

It seems Fitzgerald’s co-stars have come aboard the cause as well. Recently, Justice for Vets launched a PSA featuring stars from The West Wing.
