Where Are They Now? Some Greenroom Chatter for November 8, 2008

Ever wonder what’s happened to the actors and actresses from your favorite cancelled shows? Well, here’s where you’ll be able to find a bunch of them…

Logan Marshall-Green (Traveler) and Dylan McDermott (Big Shots) have signed on to The Line, a Jerry Bruckheimer-produced pilot being made for TNT. It follows a group of undercover LAPD cops as they “walk the line” between doing their job and being seduced by easy money. The Line also stars Nicki Aycox (Ed, recently Supernatural).

Word is that Justin Baldoni (Everwood) has landed a role in a couple of episodes of NBC’s Heroes. He’ll be playing a young surfer dude named Andy who works at a Southern California comic shop. Seth Green (Four Kings) and Brekin Meyer (King of the Hill) are also slated to play comic fans as well.

Justin Long (Ed) and Josh Charles (Six Degrees) have joined Christina Ricci (Ally McBeal) in the supernatural thriller called After Life. In the movie, Ricci will play a woman caught between life and death, threatened by a sinister undertaker. Long will play her boyfriend, Paul, and Charles will play Paul’s friend. They start filming in New York this week.

According to Jim kicks off its eighth year on ABC on December 2nd. Two veterans of cancelled shows are slated to appear during the season; Eric Estrada (CHiPs) and Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man). Will this be the sitcom’s final year? Though it seems likely, the sitcom’s dodged the cancellation bullet in the past.

James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek) and David Denman (Angel, recently The Office) have signed on to do a dramatic pilot for FOX. From Dawson creator Kevin Falls, Eva Adams will follow a sexist sports agent who’s turned into a beautiful woman by an angry witch. The main character has yet to be cast but Van Der Beek and Denman will both play agents.

David Faustino (Married with Children) is starring in an original web series that’s being produced for Sony’s online video site, Crackle.com. Star-ving will portray a very exaggerated and racy version of the actor’s life. He’ll be running a porn shop that a dedicated fan willed to him and, after his wife runs away with a rap star, Faustino’s reduced to begging money from Hollywood pals like Corin Nemec (Stargate SG-1). Ed Asner (The Mary Tyler Moore Show) is also set to play a major role. The web series is expected to debut in January. The site currently features a variety of sitcom mini-sodes and web series like Dating Brad Garrett that stars the ‘Til Death actor.

Jonathan Lipnicki (Meego), the spiky-haired little kid from 1996’s Jerry Maguire movie, is now a high school senior. He’s also set to star in a psychological thriller titled The Other Side of Innocence. Lipnicki plays a troubled teen who has a romantic relationship with unhappy daughter of the town’s local chief detective. Meanwhile, a crazed serial killer terrorizes the community. Stay tuned!
