Where Are They Now? Some Greenroom Chatter for September 15, 2008

As the new Fall season gets underway, lots of stars from cancelled shows are popping up all over the place. Here’s where you’ll be able to find a few of them…

Sam Page (Shark) has landed a multi-episode arc on Mad Men. The AMC series features other TV show veterans like Jon Hamm (What About Brian), Elisabeth Moss (Invasion), and Vincent Kartheiser (Angel).

Lily Tomlin (Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In) will soon be stopping by Wisteria Lane. She’ll reportedly be guesting on ABC’s Desperate Housewives as the sister of a character who is sick. No word on who that might be.

Watch for Cybill Shepherd (Moonlighting) as she appears on the season premiere of Samantha Who? on ABC. She’ll be playing a rival of Jean Smart (Designing Women) in a dance contest. Shepherd’s character hires a ringer in the form of Dancing with the Stars’ Mark Ballas. The episode’s scheduled to air on October 13th.

Josh Stamberg (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) has landed a recurring role in Drop Dead Diva, a Lifetime series pilot. He’s also secured a guest star spot on a pilot called Lie to Me that stars Tim Roth.

Look for Noah Bean (Ed, recently Damages) in an upcoming guest star role on ABC’s Private Practice series. On the big screen, look for Bean in Peter and Vandy, starring Jason Ritter (The Class) and Jesse L. Martin (Ally McBeal, most recently Law & Order).

Marsha Thomason (Las Vegas, recently Lost) has signed on for Easy Money, a new CW dramady about a family who runs a high-interest loan business. The series is currently filming in New Mexico and debuts on October 5th.

Michelle Forbes (Star Trek: The Next Generation) has landed a series regular role on Alan Ball’s HBO drama, True Blood.

Martin Landau (Space: 1999), Steve Buscemi (The Sopranos), and Ron Livingston (Standoff) will star in an upcoming independent drama called The Company Men. The movie focuses on an aging salesman and his younger counterpart as they struggle to save a collapsing toy company and themselves. Stay tuned!
