The royal court is filling up. Deadline reports several castmembers and a director have been set for Starz’ upcoming series The White Princess.
Based on the novel by Philippa Gregory, the historical drama is a follow-up to The White Queen (pictured) and follows Elizabeth York, the daughter of King Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville.
Amy Manson, Andrew Whipp, and Patrick Gibson have been cast as Lady Catherine Gordon, “The Boy,” and Richard Pole, respectively. Additionally, Alex Kalymnios is slated to direct three episodes of the eight-part series.
The three actors join fellow castmembers Jacob Collins-Levy, Jodie Comer, Essie Davis, Joanne Whalley, Michelle Fairley, and Suki Waterhouse.
Starz has not yet set a premiere date for The White Princess.
