Starz has their new princess. Deadline reports Jodie Comer has been cast as the lead in The White Princess, the network’s upcoming sequel series to The White Queen.
Based on the historical novels of Philippa Gregory, The White Princess takes place during the War of the Roses, the 15th century conflict between two prominent royal houses of England.
Comer will play Princess Elizabeth, the oldest daughter of King Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville. The series will focus on her arranged marriage to Henry VII and the ongoing tension between the House of Plantagenet and the House of Lancaster and York.
