The groundbreaking comedy will conclude its eighth and final season on Thursday, May 18, 2006. A one-hour retrospective will kick-off the night at 8pm and will be followed by the special one-hour series finale. President of NBC Entertainment Kevin Reilly said, “It is a bittersweet moment for all of us at NBC to confirm that this will be the final season of the comedy Will & Grace. For seven years the show assembled one of the finest comedic casts on television, bringing to life the hilarious, groundbreaking scripts from Mutchnick, Kohan and their writing team to create what has truly become one of the classic comedies on television.”
But, if you happen to have other plans for that evening or your TiVo suddenly goes on the fritz, don’t worry! Will & Grace – The Series Finale
If you’re one of the many fans of "the fabulous four" that are preparing to mourn the loss of this award-winning show, you have plenty of episodes (over 180) on DVD to keep you company. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to see the stars in other venues.
Eric McCormack (Will) will appear in the US premiere of a new Neil LaBute play entitled Man in Some Girl(s), about a soon-to-be-engaged man who pays a last visit to four ex-girlfriends. The show will debut the day before the Will & Grace finale. Incidentally, the role was played in London last year by Friends alumnus David Schwimmer.
The very busy Debra Messing (Grace), who recently appeared in the second season finale of Bravo’s reality series Project Runway, has three films in the works: Open Season, Lucky You and Purple Violets.
Megan Mullally (Karen) will soon debut a much-anticipated syndicated tv talk show entitled The Megan Mullally Show and can be seen hosting the TV Land Awards on March 22nd.
Sean Hayes (Jack) is scheduled to star in a Revolution Studios comedy entitled Simon Says about an award-winning teacher assigned to guide the out-of-control children of a media mogul.
