TV show description:
In order to win the $50,000 grand prize on this reality show competition, contestants must survive the world’s largest obstacle course.

Each episode features 24 new players who are slowly whittled down to one winner through a series of four rounds. The first round or, “the qualifier,” features a four-part obstacle course in which the twelve participants with the best times move on further in the competition.

In “the sweeper,” or the second round, the remaining twelve must jump a rotating hurdle that changes speeds and heights each time it circles around. The six who fall from their platform first don’t make it to round three, known as the “road to the final four.”

Contestants in this round participate in a stunts like “Dizzy Dummy” where players are spun around and then stopped in order to cross an obstacle dangling over a pool, or the “Dreadmill” where the final six walk on an oversized treadmill and must stay on while trying to avoid balls, inflatable fish, and even doors obstructing their moving path.

“The Wipeout Zone” is the last and most complicated obstacle course to be conquered. The player to do so, in the least amount of time, wipes out the competition and walks away bruised but with the cash prize in hand.

The show is hosted by John Henson and John Anderson and, is co-hosted by Jill Wagner.

Series Finale:

The 12 winners from throughout the season return to fight through the “Chopper Blade,” revisit the “Big Balls,” and face “The Playpound” infested with pool sharks — all before landing in the Wipeout Zone.
First aired: September 7, 2014.
