Omar’s comin’! Michael K. Williams recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and discussed his time on the The Wire, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Williams played Omar Little, a notorious Baltimore stick-up man, on the HBO drama for all five seasons before the show ended in 2009.
When asked about the memorable role, Williams said the The Wire “changed his life”:
It was my breakout role, it definitely changed my life, but on a personal level, it kind of grew me up. I equate my years with the cast of The Wire as being like my college years. I learned the business, from financially how to to manage my money better to how to ride a character out for a period of time.”
