Based on the best-selling books by James Patterson, this series follows the lives of four talented professional women in San Francisco.
The friends join together to lend their particular talents to help solve murder cases. They are police inspector Lindsay Boxer (Angie Harmon), who’s marriage to police lieutenant Tom (Rob Estes) broke up due to her obsession with the search for the “Kiss-Me-Not” killer; happily married medical examiner Dr. Claire Washburn (Paula Newsome); cool Assistant District Attorney Jill Bernhardt (Laura Harris); and young crime reporter Cindy Thomas (Aubrey Dollar). Working together, the ladies learn things that are pertinent to both their professional and personal lives.
Other characters include Lindsay’s loyal partner, Warren Jacobi (Tyrees Allen); Jill’s boss, deputy D.A. Denise Kwon (Linda Park); Jill’s boyfriend, Dr. Luke Bowen (Coby Ryan McLaughlin); defense attorney Hanson North (Kyle Secor); and Claire’s husband Ed Washburn (Jonathan Adams), who’s wheelchair-bound after being shot while serving in the armed forces.
