She ends up working at the local grocery store, alongside her cranky neighbor, a butcher named Hank (Ed Asner). She falls for her boss, Ivy League educated Rob Parker (Patrick Fabian), a man who finds his world upended by Carli’s unconventional outlook and offbeat charms.
At home, Carli gets “help” from her brother, Nick (Steve Kazee). He’s allowed to crash with his big sis in exchange for helping with her three kids.
Scott (Lachlan Buchanan) is her athletic, hunky but clueless oldest son, who always mistakenly thinks he’s two steps ahead of his savvy mom. Pam (Courtney Merritt) is the brainy middle child who hides her insecurities behind her wry sense of humor. Will (Cameron Castaneda), Carli’s adorable six-year-old, is caught between his mom wanting him to stay her little baby boy and his uncle teaching him how to “man up.”
