FOX is giving us some news to believe in. Deadline reports the network is planning another season of The X-Files.
This past winter, FOX debuted six new episodes of the supernatural drama with original cast members David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.
Earlier, we reported FOX was interested in another season of the series after the success of the revival. At today’s upfront presentation, network chief Dana Walden sounded optimistic another season would happen:
We have had conversations with (creator) Chris Carter and (stars) David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. I believe everyone is on board to do another installment of the show.”
Chairman Gary Newman added that the only major obstacle is scheduling, but discussions are ongoing:
Some of that is driven by schedules. Conversations are ongoing. I can tell you that all of them would like to do more of these, and certainly the network and studio want to do more.”
What do you think? Are you an X-Files fan? Do you want another season?
