Watch a new behind-the-scenes teaser for The Young Pope TV show, coming to HBO on January 15, 2017 at 9:00pm ET/PT. Jude Law stars as Lenny Belardo, aka Pius XIII, the first American pope in history. While HBO has not yet renewed The Young Pope for season two, Wildside is currently developing a second installment. The Italian production company will take it to partners HBO, Sky and Canal Plus for co-financing, as soon as Sorrentino finishes the script.
The Young Pope also stars Diane Keaton as Sister Mary, a U.S. nun now living in Vatican City. The cast also includes Silvio Orlando, Scott Shepherd, Cécile de France, Javier Cámara, Ludivine Sagnier, Toni Bertorelli, and James Cromwell.
The Young Pope Season One on HBO
Clocking in at two minutes and 55 seconds, The Young Pope behind-the-scenes video features Jude Law and director Paolo Sorrentino. In addition, you will see Production Designer Ludovica Ferrario. Executive Produder Lorenzo Mieli, Director of Photography Luca Bigazzi, and Costume Designer Carlo Poggioli.

HBO is trying out a new schedule for the first season of The Young Pope. After its debut on Sunday, January 15th, the second episode will run on Monday, January 16th at the same time. The remaining episodes will debut on subsequent Sundays and Mondays through the first season’s run.
An English-language drama series, the first season of The Young Pope, premiered in October 2016, in countries including Italy, Germany, Austria, France, UK, and the Republic of Ireland.
