The zoo is adding more humans to the mix. Deadline reports Josh Salatin and Alyssa Diaz have been cast in the CBS drama, Zoo.
The series was renewed for a second season back in October.
Based on the book by James Patterson, Zoo follows a group of experts investigating the reason behind a global epidemic of violent animal attacks against humans. James Wolk, Kristen Connolly, Nonso Anozie, Nora Arnezeder and Billy Burke star.
In season two, Salatin will play “Logan, a mysterious stranger Jamie encounters who might be holding a dangerous secret from her.” Meanwhile, Diaz will star as “Dariela, part of a military unit that encounters a strange and troubling new development in the animal mutation.”
Season two is expected to premiere sometime later this year.
