Amy Hargreaves has been cast as Mrs. Jensen in the 13 Reasons Why TV show at Netflix. A series regular role, Mrs. Jensen is the mother of Clay, played by Lost‘s Dylan Minnette. In the story, Clay receives a box of tapes from his crush, Hannah (Katherine Langford), after she kills herself.
Brian d’Arcy James plays Hannah’s father opposite Kate Walsh. Derek Luke was previously cast as Hannah’s guidance counselor, Mr. Porter. Based on the 2007 novel by Jay Asher, the 13 Reasons Why TV adaptation comes from Selena Gomez and Diana Son, writer Brian Yorkey, director Tom McCarthy, Anonymous Content, and Paramount TV.
Deadline say of Hargreaves’ character, “She’s bright, involved, compassionate and concerned — or, as Clay calls it, ‘helicopter parenting’. An accomplished, fair-minded lawyer, Mrs. Jensen is less objective where her son is concerned.”
