13 Reasons Why: Season Two Production Has Begun

13 Reasons Why TV show on Netflix

What’s next for 13 Reasons Why? RadioTimes reports season two of the Netflix TV show has already begun filming.

Based on the book by Jay Asher novel, season one of the drama series follows a group of high school students in the aftermath of their classmate Hannah Baker’s (Katherine Langford) suicide. The cast also includes Dylan Minnette, Kate Walsh, Brian D’Arcy James, Derek Luke, Brandon Flynn, Justin Prentice, Alisha Boe, Christian Navarro, Miles Heizer, Ajiona Alexus, and Tommy Dorfman.

On Twitter, star Christian Navarro announced season two of 13 Reasons Why has begun production. The new season is expected to debut on Netflix in 2018.

But what will happen in season two? Season one was based on a standalone novel, but showrunner Brian Yorkey told Entertainment Weekly earlier this year that there is plenty more story to tell:

To me, there’s a tremendous amount that I still want to know. I’ve said a few times that this show is about the way we raise boys up into men and the way we treat girls and women in our culture — and what we could do better in both cases. And I realized we were just beginning the process of seeing these boys and girls grow up into men and women. It was something that we didn’t get to watch with Hannah and I would really love to watch it with these other characters I’ve come to love.”

What do you think? Have you seen season one of 13 Reasons Why? Will you watch season two?
