The sitcom debuted on September 19th, following the much anticipated return of Two and a Half Men, and attracted great numbers — a 7.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 19.37 million viewers. In its regular 8:30 timeslot, the show’s still been generating very positive numbers and currently averages a 5.4 in the demo and 14.18 million for the season.
Starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs as diner waitresses, 2 Broke Girls is the currently the second-highest rated show on CBS (behind Men) and the third-highest rated show in all of primetime (behind Men and Modern Family on ABC).
The full season order is especially good news for Whitney Cummings. She co-created the comedy with Michael Patrick King and her NBC comedy, Whitney, was also given a full season order this week.
What do you think? Are you glad to hear that 2 Broke Girls was given a full season? How do you think it compares to the other CBS comedies?
