2 Broke Girls: Season Six Renewal for CBS Sitcom

2 Broke Girls TV show on CBS: season 6

The girls aren’t broke quite yet. Today, CBS announced they’ve renewed 2 Broke Girls for a sixth season, which will air in the 2016-2017 season.

Currently in its fifth season, 2 Broke Girls stars Beth Behrs and Kat Dennings as two unlikely friends—one from money, one not—working together in a greasy New York City diner. The series also stars Garrett Morris, Jonathan Kite, Matthew Moy, and Jennifer Coolidge.

Though ratings for season five have decreased somewhat from previous seasons, the numbers are still strong for the sitcom. So far, each episode is receiving around 6.4 million viewers. For comparison, last season averaged about 7.84 million viewers per episode.

Today, the network announced 2016-17 season renewals of 10 other shows as well — The Amazing Race, Blue Bloods, Elementary, Hawaii Five-0, Madam Secretary, Mom, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, Scorpion, and Survivor.

What do you think? Do you watch 2 Broke Girls? Are you glad it was renewed for another season? What would you like to see happen next season?
