Telly’s Take
It’s hard to believe that 2 Broke Girls averaged a 4.25 demo rating and 11.29 million viewers in its first year. Those days are long gone and it looks like this will be another year of declines for this venerable sitcom. It’s still holding its own when compared to other CBS comedies however and it’s already in syndication (where the big bucks are made) so there’s added financial incentive from the studio to keep it going. Unless there’s some business reason, I suspect 2 Broke Girls will be on the air for awhile. Oh well. CBS has other comedies that are in danger.
5/12 update: 2 Broke Girls has been cancelled by CBS. Details here. I’m off
to have my supper. I’d better pick up some Tums, first.
