What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, 2 Broke Girls follows streetwise Max Black (Kat Dennings) and formerly-wealthy Caroline Channing (Beth Behrs) as they work in a greasy diner (which they now partially own). The unlikely partners try to earn enough money to pay their bills and continue to develop their cupcake business. The sitcom co-stars Garrett Morris, Jonathan Kite, Matthew Moy, and Jennifer Coolidge.
Season Six Ratings
Season six of 2 Broke Girls averaged a 1.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.62 million viewers. Compared to season five, that’s down by about 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewers. Find out how 2 Broke Girls stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.
It’s hard to believe that 2 Broke Girls averaged a 4.25 demo rating and 11.29 million viewers in its first year. Those days are long gone and it looks like this will be another year of declines for this venerable sitcom. It’s still holding its own when compared to other CBS comedies however and it’s already in syndication (where the big bucks are made) so there’s added financial incentive from the studio to keep it going. Unless there’s some business reason, I suspect 2 Broke Girls will be on the air for awhile. Oh well. CBS has other comedies that are in danger.
5/12 update: 2 Broke Girls has been cancelled by CBS. Details here. I’m off
to have my supper. I’d better pick up some Tums, first.
