Decades in and 20/20 is still going. Recently, ABC announced they’ve renewed the venerable TV series for a 40th season.
Hosted by Elizabeth Vargas and David Muir, the newsmagazine features in-depth stories about a variety of topics, including human interest and current events. Correspondents include Diane Sawyer, Juju Chang, John Quiñones, Deborah Roberts, Brian Ross, and Jay Schadler.
While ratings haven’t been great for 20/20 in some years, the news show remains a staple for ABC. Season 39 averaged a 0.85 rating in the 18-49 demo and 4.27 million viewers. It seems the show has lost quite a bit of its audience in recent years. Despite this trend, ABC has decided to stick with the long-running program for another season.
