Gillian Anderson as Media
Gillian Anderson is just leaving The X-Files. TVLine reports the American Gods star is also leaving the Starz TV series after only one season.
Anderson played the New God Media during season one of the fantasy drama. The cast also includes Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Emily Browning, Pablo Schreiber, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Crispin Glover, Orlando Jones, Gillian Anderson, and Kristin Chenoweth.
During this year’s TCA winter press tour, Anderson announced her exit from American Gods, saying “I’m not doing any more American Gods.” Recently, showrunners Bryan Fuller and Michael Green also announced they were leaving the Starz series due to creative differences.
Season two is still slated to premiere on Starz later this year.
