Get ready for more American Housewife. ABC has announced that they’ve renewed the comedy TV series for a second season.
The sitcom revolves around an average wife and mom, Katie (Katy Mixon), who does her best to stand out from the “perfect” housewives and their privileged children of Westport. The cast also includes Diedrich Bader, Meg Donnelly, Daniel DiMaggio, Julia Butters, Carly Hughes, and Ali Wong.
While not the highest-rated comedy on ABC, American Housewife has done very well for the network on Tuesday nights. Currently, the series’ freshman season is averaging a 1.45 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.22 million viewers, making it one of the network’s top-10 shows for the 2016-2017 season.
